I initially planned on trying Matcha Organics YAME Ceremonial Grade Green Tea Powder, and then giving the rest to my brother, who uses matcha in a variety of his healthy recipes. Well, that’s changed. I don’t even think I want him to try it, or it will probably mysteriously disappear, I bet.
The matcha tea powder comes in a 30-gram small tin with a locking clasp. Inside, I found a sealed, silver packet of ceremonial matcha. The actual amount of matcha tea that you receive is 1.4 ounces. I read that the YAME Matcha is made from the first plucking of green tea, which is why its green color is so vibrant, and the taste is described as being smooth.
To make a hot matcha tea, you add a small amount of water to ½ to 1 teaspoon of Matcha Organics powdered tea to create a smooth green paste. Then, you add hot water to your liking – I would guess anywhere from 4-6 ounces, depending on how much matcha you’ve used.
When mixing the paste, a noticeably deep green color emerged.
After adding hot water to my drink, half & half and a packet of Truvia, I whisked the ingredients and took my first sip. Oh wow…how delicious is this! I mean, it’s noticeably creamier and smoother than other matcha tea powders that I’ve tried.
I am extremely pleased with the taste, flavor and texture of this matcha green tea powder.
