Packaged in this fun-looking, on-the-go packet, You Love Fruit is handmade fruit leather that contains premium organic ingredients. The Mango Coconut flavor is made with organic mango pulp, organic coconut, organic artichoke fiber, and natural flavor. After opening the package, a strong tropical-mango scent hit the air.
My first impression after unwrapping the sheet of fruit leather is ‘oh wow…the fruit leather is in the shape of hearts. Very cool.’ There are visible flecks of coconut in the heart-shaped pieces of mango snack. The thin pieces easily peel away from the wax/parchment paper they are attached to – like a Fruit Roll-Up. Some of the ‘hearts’ have more specks of coconut than others. Mango Coconut You Love Fruit tastes like a chewy, soft strip of dehydrated fruit. It’s very good.
By the Numbers
The packet shown here offers 2 servings of You Love Fruit (8 “hearts”) with each serving providing you 50 calories of fruit-flavored deliciousness. I think one serving is pretty filling. Two grams of fiber provide 8% of your recommended daily value (RDV) per serving. The fruit leather also offers 25% of your RDV for Vitamin A. You Love Fruit is also gluten free, vegan, Kosher, free of nuts/soy/dairy, and is made with non-GMO ingredients.
Made in the USA, You Love Fruit, Inc. is a company based in Inwood, NY. As an Upstate New Yorker, I had no idea where that was, so I looked it up. If you are curious to know the origins of this tasty, certified organic snack – it’s made in a hamlet in Nassau County, New York on the South Shore of western Long Island.
Will I buy on my own? Yes, I’ve already purchased a 12-pack of their Tart Peach flavor from Amazon.com – that’s how much I liked it. Wondering how I wound up paying $2.99 for something that costs $22? I used Amazon.com gift cards that I earned from racking up points by using Swagbucks as my search engine.
