Ruby Frost Apples - New York State

If you live in the New York State region, then I suggest you hightail it to your local grocer to find Ruby Frost Apples…which captured my attention at Tops the other day.

Two pounds of apples are packaged in a clear bag with a convenient zip-lock slider that I absolutely love, where the words ‘cool,‘ ‘crisp,’ and ‘craveable‘ caught my eye. Excitement rushed through my body at the thought…no lie.

As soon as I got home, I slid open the bag of apples, took one out, and I was not disappointed. The fruit felt firm, which is a must with me – I do not like a soft exterior. I decored and cut my apples into slices, and when I took the first bite, the sound of crispness greeted my ears. There is a nice balance between the sweetness and tartness of the fruit. I have since bought two more bags, and got my Mom to jump on the bandwagon as well.

Usually, I like to pair my apples with cheese, peanut butter, or add to a salad, but I’ve just been snacking away on the Ruby Frosts without pairing it with anything. However, there are plenty of ways to pair and prepare these apples.

Ruby Frost apples are grown in New York State, and distributed by New York Apple Growers out of Wolcott, NY.
