Graze Healthy Snack Subscription Box

After receiving two Graze healthy snack box subscriptions, I cancelled before opening any of the boxes. The holidays had me so overwhelmed that I couldn’t take another box piling up on top of another. I just now got around to opening my first box, and I am pleasantly surprised and pleased with the results. Graze offers various delivery frequencies throughout the U.S., including weekly and bi-weekly shipments of snacks. It’s a surprise what you will receive, but you can let Graze know what you’d like to try again, or never see again.

Each box comes with four different snacks.

Four Snacks from Graze

So, here’s my thoughts…in order of sampling….

Graze Banana Caramel Dippers

Wholegrain Banana Caramel Dippers

For starters, the caramel sauce is absolutely delicious, hitting just the right level of sweetness. It doesn’t taste over-processed or ‘fake.’ I am truly impressed. After reading the ingredients further, it is described as a ‘toffee sauce,’ made with golden syrup, sweetened skimmed condensed milk, unsalted butter, and burnt sugar amongst a few other ingredients.

A quick sniff of the banana shortbread, and I knew I was in for a treat.

You can really smell the fruitiness, and when you take a bite…it’s like melt-in-your-mouth, buttery, banana sensation for the taste buds. I haven’t had a treat this satisfying in a long while.

You can just send me a box filled with these…game over.

Banana Caramel Dippers Eaten

Three banana dippers with caramel sauce: 150 calories; 2 grams protein; and 1 gram fiber.

Graze Cracking Black Pepper Cashews

Cracking Black Pepper Cashews

I love nuts, and flavored ones are pretty fun too. I initially zeroed in on a strong peppery flavor when sampling these cashews, and after a few more, I started to taste the lemon juice powder listed as an ingredient. These would be great for going on a hike, car ride, or any other time that you need a little energy boost.

A 1.3 ounce container: 210 calories; 6 grams protein; 1 gram fiber; and the following recommended daily values – iron (10%); magnesium (23%); and zinc (13%).

Cherry Fudge Sundae

Cherry Fudge Sundae

I’m not a fan of berries and chocolate, so after sampling a pinch, I wound up picking the chocolate fudge pieces out of this snack, which is also comprised of cherry flavored raisins, cherries, and blanched almonds. I really do appreciate that Graze uses berries and raisins with NO SUGAR added. That’s such a breath of fresh air because I cannot tell you how many times I’ve avoided a product because they unnecessarily add sugar to the berries. The cherries are sweetened with fruit juice concentrate! Overall, everything tastes fresh and naturally fruity.

A 1.5 ounce serving: 180 calories; 2 grams fiber; 4 grams protein; and the following recommended daily values – vitamin E (15%) and manganese (15%).

Graze Herb Bread Basket

Herby Bread Basket

Before I even tasted this snack, my nose was turned up at the thought of a mini basil breadsticks, garlic crostini, and oregano rice crackers combination. This option didn’t seem as much fun for me at first glance since I personally prefer fruity, nutty, and sweeter selections. As soon as you open the container, your nostrils are hit with an inviting yet borderline too-strong for the senses whiff of herb seasoning.

However, surprise surprise!

I really enjoyed the crunch of the lightly-flavored crostini, the herbiness of the mini breadsticks, and the interesting sweetness of the rice crackers. I actually enjoyed this snack better than the Cherry Fudge Sundae and cashews.

A 20-gram serving: 100 calories; 2 grams protein; and not much else to speak of. This snack is the lowest in calories, but is also lowest in nutritional value.

Rankings in order of enjoyment:

  • Wholegrain Banana Caramel Dippers (completely addicting)
  • Herby Bread Basket (a total surprise)
  • Cherry Fudge Sundae (fresh and fruity)
  • Crackling Black Pepper Cashews (above average; nothing to write home about)

Also, each box comes with a Nutrition Fact insert.

I like how Graze breaks down the individual components that make up a particular snack, as you can see below:

I think I just might have to become a subscriber again.
