Last year, I followed the Wheat Belly Diet for two months, and with great success. I ended up losing 25 pounds until I hit a wall with my birthday… and completely lost it. Even with all of the food that I ate around my birthday, I was still able to maintain my weight loss. However, it was extremely hard to go back to omitting wheat and sugary sweets from my diet.
I found myself completely abandoning my healthy ways…and of course, all of the results went right down the drain.
This year, I have a new game plan. I’m not pigging out on my birthday…I even plan on making myself a cake that falls in line with the Wheat Belly Diet. I already have one picked out, and then we’ll see how it goes from there. If I can survive my birthday (I’m trying to stay positive), sky is the limit!
In the meantime…I’m concentrating on repeating the same success as last year in the next two months. I’ve decided to share my results as a way to make myself accountable for my dietary choices, and to stay motivated.
Maybe you’ll discover a Wheat Belly snack, recipe, or product that you can incorporate into your own diet.
