Made with black beans, navy beans and long grain rice, Beanfield’s is an award-winning tortilla chip that contains 29% less fat and twice the protein and fiber as most similar chips. You’re getting a chip that is not only healthier, but also tastes incredibly appetizing. My initial sample of the Salt n’ Pepper flavor of chips produced an instant ‘hmmmm’ response.
I detect an almost lemony flavor although there is nothing in the ingredients list that indicates it was used as a flavoring. Instead, the chips get their unique flavor from sea salt, black pepper, evaporated cane juice, dehydrated onion and garlic, and spice extractive.
The chips pack a satisfying crunch and visibly have a generous dusting of their seasonings and flavor. In other words, Beanfield’s does not skimp on the taste with these chips.
One serving of a 1.5 oz snack bag equals 140 calories, and provides a lovely snack boost of fiber to your diet. I will definitely be on the lookout for a larger bag of these chips the next time I go to the grocery store.
